Lyn Rohde

Lyn was born in Dublin and spent her childhood in England and in France. Her interest in art was fostered at an early age not only by private tuition but also the encouragement of the French painter, Dunoyer de Segonzac. Lyn studied art at Kingston Polytechnic and gained her BA (Hons) degree at Wimbledon School of Art. Having lived in Teddington for many years, she moved to Brighton in 2006.

Lyn finds inspiration in her immediate environment as well as places she visits in England and abroad. She brings new life to places, flowers and objects with vibrant colours and a strong rhythm of line. She had her first solo show in 1986 and has exhibited widely in the UK. Her work is in private and corporate collections in England, America and Australia.
